To celebrate the bicentenary of Emily Brontë’s birth in Thornton, I was asked to curate an exhibition of emerging artists responding to Emily Brontë’s poetry and writing and make a video installation. I also devised a number of workshops for different groups including primary school children, where we imagined a day in the life of the Brontë siblings in 1818, 2018 and 2218 using illustration and animation. Local secondary school children created collages in response to Emily’s poetry and Wuthering Heights. The project and exhibition featured in both on BBC Look North and the BBC website.
